CAMP ONE WORLD - SUMMER CAMP

What Camp One World Entails

Camp One World takes your child from auditions to stage in just one week!

On Monday, One World announces that everyone’s favorite little red truck returns with everything necessary to put on an amazing full-scale musical production on the One World Theatre stage….everything except the cast.  That’s where local students age 5 – 18 come in.  In just one week, campers will go from auditions to opening night as they step on stage for a public performance as graduates of Camp One World 2010!

Led by national touring company Missoula Children’s Theatre, participants will learn how to produce an enjoyable piece of musical theatre from the inside out.  Working with MCT’s professional actors and directors, participants will gain hands-on experience in every aspect of the show’s production; from learning lines and dances to seeing the world behind the curtain as crew members, there’s something to spark and sustain each individual child’s interest during a unique week of summer fun.

In this version The Princess and The Pea, envision a kingdom of snow where the residents are Winter Wind Workers, Blizzard Bringers and Snow Smoothers, ruled by the Storm King and Snow Queen and their son the Prince. Now imagine a Princess and her friend the Pea living in a kingdom of green rolling hills with her subjects, The Flower Gardeners, River Runners and Tree Barkers. Her parents, King Size and Queen Size, do all they can to keep things running smoothly. Although the two kingdoms think they have nothing in common, the peace-loving Leprechauns prove otherwise. We think your campers will enjoy being a part of the twists and turns of this delightful story!

Being apart of the magic as we create one world, one child at a time.  Camp One World helps turn children into characters while building their character ....the kind that really counts.  Participants not only learn their roles, but are exposed to music, instrument building and the art forms of diverse cultures from around the world, while they gain confidence in their ability to perform for family and friends on the One World stage!
